To kick off their grand five-month exhibition of hungry i memorabilia, the San Francisco Performing Arts Library and Museum staged a gala reception on March 27, 2007 when many `alumni' who performed on the club stage assembled to share memories of great shows at the landmark nightspot.

While co-curators Brad Rosenstein and Gerald Nachman (author of “Sseriously Funny” were the official hosts of the evening, undoubtably the honorary title went to ENRICO BANDUCCI who donated some precious items to make the exhibition such a resounding success

A super side reunion took place when TRAVIS EDMONSON of THE GATEWAY SINGERS (accompanied by wife Rose Marie)connected with the daughter and son of ELMERLEE THOMAS, Marcie and Maurice, whom he hadn't seen since they were children. Blues singer Maurice is better known under his stage name, Elmerlee Thomas (which he uses as a tribute to his mother)

Representing the four individuals who sang with THE KINGSTON TRIO at the hungry i were BOB SHANE and JOHN STEWART. (NICK REYNOLDS, who had planned to attend the celebration, had to bow out due to a case of pneumonia, from which e was recuperating.
