Dan Bellack Folk Memories

“Two other guys and I formed a folk trio in 1961 and played for almost three years while we were students at Cal Poly. We played at local gigs around the San Luis Obispo area and also did a couple nights at the Iopan in Goleta, CA. We played and later recorded a record for a small L.A. label as The Goldcoast Wanderers.

I also played with another trio while stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. We performed under the name Art, Bart & Fargo, and had a radio show on Armed Forces Network and played shows at the local bases. When I got out of the Army in 1966 I played as a single at Chucks of Hawaii in San Mateo, California, as well as a couple of other local places over the next four years. Then family and career took over and drew me away to other things.

I have never lost my love for the folk music of the 1950's and 1960's. Recently after the death of a beloved friend who got me started in music, I did a small website that is still available at http://web.mac.com/danbellack/.”
